Dr. Joe DiMari

After graduating from Kansas State University in 2006, Dr. DiMari worked at Sapulpa Veterinary Hospital (Equine). He returned a year later to Nebraska and worked at Harvey Oaks Animal Hospital taking a special interest in Ophthalmology. In May 2012, Dr. DiMari became co-owner of Harvey Oaks and continued to broaden his knowledge and growth in veterinarian medicine.Dr.DiMari then decided to branch out on his own and bought Thone Animal Hospital in May 2019, continuing the high quality general care expected of Thone. Dr. Di-Mari will be adding the highest internal medicine and surgical care to the already established practice over the next several years. When Dr. DiMari is not practicing medicine, he and his wife are busy keeping up with their three teen-age children and enjoying family time along with their 3 Golden Retrievers and a miniature Austrian Shepard.

Dr. Kamala Freeman

Dr. Kamala Freeman graduated from the University of Nebraska -Lincoln in 2012 with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. She then graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from UNL/ISU Professional Program in 2017. Dr. Freeman’s special interests include ophthalmology, neurology and surgery. She received specialized training before, during and after veterinary school at Harvey Oaks Animal Hospital. She had the rare opportunity to receive mentorship from Dr. DiMari and Dr. Berryman, who were trained by the grandfather of veterinary ophthalmology, Dr. Glenn Severin. She also enjoys public speaking to groups of aspiring students and mentoring future veterinary students in a clinical setting.
